Prayer in Time of Grief

Father, thank you for your unfailing love and kindness towards me.

Thank you for being my refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble. (Psalms 46:1)

Lord, your word declares that many are the afflictions of the righteous, but you Lord will deliver us out of them all. (Psalms 34:19)

I may not know what the future holds, but I trust that your plans for me are good. (Jeremiah 29:11)

My heart doesn't feel good, my circumstances may not look good, but I trust that it will all work out for my good, according to your Holy Word. (Romans 8:28)

Father, if there is anything in me that has caused this calamity or grief to come upon me I repent of it now. I ask that you correct me and show me your mercy. If this circumstance has come by way of another's sin, I ask that you correct them, bring them to repentance and show them mercy.

I understand that you are sovereign, and your ways are past finding out. As far as the east is from the west is your thoughts from my thoughts. I don't understand this season of pain and loss. But I trust that you are just and you alone are in control.

Lord when Job was tried and he lost his children, livelihood, health, and everything dear to him shunned him. He did not charge you foolishly and neither will I. I too will say, the Lord gives and the Lord takes away, blessed be the name of the Lord!

Even your servant David said it was good that he was afflicted! So Father with my heart broken, and eyes full of tears I declare that you are GOOD! Though you slay me yet will I trust you!

In JESUS name I pray, amen.

Psalms 98 🕊️⚔️

1  O sing unto the   Lord   a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory. 2 The   Lord   hath made known his salvation: his righteousness hath he openly shewed in the sight of the heathen. 3  He hath remembered his mercy and his truth toward the house of Israel: all the ends of the earth have seen the salvation of our God. 4  Make a joyful noise unto the   Lord , all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise. 5  Sing unto the   Lord   with the harp; with the harp, and the voice of a psalm. 6  With trumpets and sound of cornet make a joyful noise before the   Lord , the King. 7  Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 8  Let the floods clap their hands: let the hills be joyful together. 9  Before the   Lord ; for he cometh to judge the earth: with righteousness shall he judge the w...

Psalms 97 ⚔️🕊️

97  The   Lord   reigneth; let the earth rejoice; let the multitude of isles be glad thereof. 2  Clouds and darkness are round about him: righteousness and judgment are the habitation of his throne. 3  A fire goeth before him, and burneth up his enemies round about. 4  His lightnings enlightened the world: the earth saw, and trembled. 5  The hills melted like wax at the presence of the  Lord , at the presence of the Lord of the whole earth. 6  The heavens declare his righteousness, and all the people see his glory. 7  Confounded be all they that serve graven images, that boast themselves of idols: worship him, all ye gods. 8  Zion heard, and was glad; and the daughters of Judah rejoiced because of thy judgments, O  Lord . 9  For thou,  Lord , art high above all the earth: thou art exalted far above all gods. 10  Ye that love the  Lord , hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth t...

Jeremiah 31:15-17 🔥

The Lord blessed me to read in the book of Jeremiah today. It was so sweet! He first showed me Jeremiah 31:16 on 12/19/22. Verse 16 really comforted me, but I didn't really get the surrounding verses until today. I pray I can glean more from these scriptures. You don't need to seek a prophet, when you can get it straight from the Source: The Word of God. Jeremiah 31:15-17 🔥 15 Thus saith the Lord; A voice was heard in Ramah, lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not. 16 Thus saith the Lord; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the Lord; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. 17 And there is hope in thine end, saith the Lord, that thy children shall come again to their own border. My understanding: I found that Ramah, is a HILL in Benjamin on the border of Ephraim. According to Psalms 24:3, a hill signifies the ch...
