For the past couple of days the Lord has impressed upon my heart Psalms 107. Especially verses 23 and 24, "they that go down to the sea in ships, THAT DO BUSINESS IN GREAT WATERS; these see the works of the LORD and His wonders in the deep." I don't fully comprehend the spiritual understanding of this great saying. But I'm reminded of Isaiah 43:2, When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee:
Paul also comes to mind, Acts 27:27-28:5, all that abided in the ship survived. Though the ship wrecked they came to an island named Malta, translated as honey. The strangers of the land welcomed them and showed unusual kindness to them. Paul was even bitten by a snake but he shook it off into a fire. I'm not 100% on where the Lord is taking me with this revelation, but I know it's good. It feels good! Even Bro. Job comes to mind, who at the last of his suffering said, I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. (Job 42:5)
Psalms 107:22-30
22 And let them sacrifice the sacrifices of thanksgiving, and declare his works with rejoicing.
23 They that go down to the sea in ships, that do business in great waters;
24 These see the works of the Lord, and his wonders in the deep.
25 For he commandeth, and raiseth the stormy wind, which lifteth up the waves thereof.
26 They mount up to the heaven, they go down again to the depths: their soul is melted because of trouble.
27 They reel to and fro, and stagger like a drunken man, and are at their wit's end.
28 Then they cry unto the Lord in their trouble, and he bringeth them out of their distresses.
29 He maketh the storm a calm, so that the waves thereof are still.
30 Then are they glad because they be quiet; so he bringeth them unto their desired haven.
